Lots of trash and sun, the ideal recipe for a Saturday of fishing for trash!

In the morning Katti, Talita, and Pol each brought a companion to join them on the water. They all went direction Suzan Daniel bridge which is still under construction. Lots of garbage had accumulated there.

Next, eight members of the Jane Goodall Institute Belgium united their strenght to fight some plastic pollution in the water. The institute is a global wildlife and environmental conservation organization founded in 1977 by English primatologist Jane Goodall. Jane Goodall is an English anthropologist and biologist known for her 60-year study of chimpanzee social and family life in Tanzania. What started as an effort to protect chimpanzees and their habitat has grown into a global movement that now inspires a generation of young, global citizens and supports community-based conservation in Africa. We had an interesting conversation about wildlife conservation, the tree planting actions they organise and the awareness they raise about the need to protect endangered primates such as chimpanzees.

Later in the afternoon Ann and her family took away the last remaining garbage together with Emilio and 3 friends from the International School of Brussel (ISB).

Catch of the day: a matress, a football, a full backpack with clothes and a traffic signalig pole!
