We met with European Parliament collaborators who were invited by Surfrider Foundation Europe Brussels Office and European Environmental Bureau – EEB to experience a trip on the Brussels canal. The collaborators are working on the revision of the European wastewater treatment legislation.
We discussed the situation in Brussels with for example the yearly overflow volume in relation to the potential new rules. Discussions with all countries are ongoing and we hope Europe will vote a set of rules that will lead the way to cleaner and greener waterways.
