The European Environmental Bureau – EEB joined us for some field work on the canal. One part of the team is working on the revision of the waste water treatment legislation. The bar will be RAISED for all european countries and one of the issues EEB would like to see addressed ambitiously in the revision are the sewage overflows. Working on the issue on a European level it was convenient for them to see an overflow, floating trash and mediocre water quality just a few km from their office.
